Government of India has provides KVPY Fellowships/Scholarship for students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science it’s an on-going National Program of Fellowships in Basic Sciences.
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Scholarships provides for students interested to research in Science on various courses, Department of Science and Technology has provides the funds for KVPY Scholarships, the basic concept of KVPY Scholarships to attract exceptionally and highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science. Every year KVPY Scholarships/ Fellowships 2013 Notification will be announced on May 11 OR July month 2nd Sunday.
What is the Renewal process of KVPY Scholarships/ Fellowships?
KVPY Scholarships Renewal/Continuation of fellowship:
KVPY Scholarships/ Fellowships Renewal applications for students who are passed in first class are eligible to apply renewal of KVPY Scholarships and also who are got minimum marks in science subjects at first attempt are also eligible to apply KVPY renewal Scholarships.
Students can got a chance of Annual renewal of fellowships will depend on the KVPY Fellows maintaining a good academic performance of first class (60% marks) or equivalent grade point average in science subjects in aggregate in each academic year in the first attempt. subsequent year if they get 60% marks or equivalent CGPA on aggregate over all fellowship will be renewed from that year.

Based on streams the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana KVPY Scholarships/ Fellowships are available, interested candidates apply for KVPY Scholarships on online at http://www.kvpy.org.in, for this you need to pay processing fee of Rs.500/- in form of challan.
KVPY Fellowships details:
Basic Sciences wise KVPY Fellowships details with annual and monthly fees
- SA (After XI Class) for this Monthly Fellowship Rs. 4000/- and Annual Contingency Grant is Rs. 16000/-.
- SX /SB - during 1st to 3rd years of - B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math / Integrated M.Sc. /M.S. for this Monthly Fellowship Rs. 5000/- and Annual Contingency Grant is Rs. 20000/-.
- SX /SB - during M. Sc. / 4th to 5th years of Integrated M.Sc. /M.S. for this Monthly Fellowship Rs. 7000/- and Annual Contingency Grant is Rs. 28000/-.

KVPY Fellowships selection procedure:
After completion of KVPY Fellowships online applications, all eligible students will be called for a written aptitude test conducted both in Hindi and English at different centers across the country. All the details will be published in the KVPY http://www.kvpy.org.in
