Republic Day Celebrations Now the nation gears up for the 65th Republic Day this year, every year Republic Day are celebrated on 26 January to celebrate the date and instant when the Constitution of India came into achieves. Even though India attained independence on August 15, 1947 after many amendments the Constitution was approved and accepted on November 26, 1949 that came into force in a full-fledged fashion from on 26 January, 1950. Thus, Republic Day celebration is the moment to remember. The President, Prime Minister and other high rank officials of India on this occasion make their presence at Rajpath to celebrate the occasion.   

Since 1950, for Republic Day celebrations India has been inviting guests of high dignitaries of another country as the state guest of honour. Activities but also in the inspirational Republic Day SMS and Republic Day messages, on this day people send warm wishes about Republic Day to their dear ones. This enthralling ceremony is performed by the military, the Indian Air Force, India Navy and India Army in the Raisina Hills, New Delhi, in front of the President of India as the Chief Guest. 

 Republic Day (India) 26 January was the date selected for this purpose because it was this day in 1930 when the Declaration of Indian Independence (Purna Swaraj) was proclaimed by the Indian National Congress, It is one of three national holidays in India, other two being Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti. Independence Day in India is the celebration of victory over British Rule that succeeded a long fought war through violent and non-violent, Republic Day celebration is held in the national capital, New Delhi, at the Rajpath before the President of India. On this day, ceremonious parades take place at the Rajpath, which are performed as a tribute to India.
