Train Tickets Cancellation before 4 Hours of Train departure from station is also implemented, those candidates also get refund amount.

There is no refund to candidates who are cancelled their train tickets after Train moving from station
Earlier 48 hours to 6 hours cancellation refund amount is 25%, now, the charge will be 25 per cent of the ticket for cancellation between 48 hours and 12 hours before the scheduled departure of a train.

While the cancellation fee of a second-class confirmed ticket 48 hours before the scheduled departure of a train has been increased from Rs 30 to Rs 60, a similar step for a Third-AC ticket will cost Rs 180 as against the earlier Rs 90.

For wait-listed and reservation-against-cancellation (RAC) tickets, one has to avail the refund up to half-an-hour before the scheduled departure of the train and there will be no refund after that.

The second-sleeper class cancellation charge has been increased from Rs 60 to Rs 120 while for Second AC it is now Rs 200 as against the earlier Rs 100, according to the Railways notification.

Latest Railway Ticket cancellation fee details as follows:
1 A/C Executive class Ticket: Rs.240/-
2 A/C or 1st class Ticket: Rs.200/-
3 A.C, ACC, 3A Economy Ticket: Rs.180/-
2nd class Sweeper class Ticket: Rs.60/-
Before 48-12 hours of train departure cancelled fee 25%
Before 12-4 hours of train departure cancelled fee 50%

These rules are also applicable to reservation of Railway tickets through IRCTC

The duration for refund of ticket after departure of the train has been reduced from the current three hours to just 30 minutes.

The cancellation charges for unreserved second class tickets have been increased from Rs 15 to Rs 30.

For reserved second class tickets, the charge has been doubled from Rs 30 to Rs 60.

(ii). Between 48 hours and 12 hours before the scheduled

as per (i) above.
(iv) No refund after the above prescribed time limit.
3.Partially confirmed: Upto two hours after the actual departure of the train.Partially confirmed: Upto half an hour before the scheduled departure of the train,
4.Refund on unused RAC/WL tickets: Upto 3 hours of the actual departure of the train subject to deduction in clerkage charge. 5.In case of cancellation of trains for e-tickets: Before 01.07.2015, for refund, TDR had to be filed. No change for counter PRS ticket.In case of cancellation of trains for e tickets: W. e.f. 01.07.2015, automatic refund is granted. Filing of TDR is not required. No change for counter PRS ticket.
